Members of the Binghamton High School varsity soccer team competed in the Adidas National High School Soccer Showcase on July 23rd – 25th in Strongsville, Ohio.  19 Binghamton High School students made the commitment to fundraise and train 5 days a week for the last 2 ½ months to prepare to make the trip to Ohio.  Binghamton competed against some of the best Ohio high school teams in that area along with a team from Illinois.  Binghamton ended up with an overall record of 3-1-2 posting 5 shutouts and once being scored on once the whole tournament.  Binghamton lone loss came at the hands of one of the top boys high school team from Illinois (Carmel Catholic HS) 1-0.  “This trip was a great measuring stick for us to see what we had to look forward to with the upcoming fall season” said Coach Dan Smith. With the fall season around the corner Binghamton boys soccer is looking to turn the corner and compete for a STAC championship.
